Terry Alan Crews (born July 30, 1968) is an American actor, television host, and former football player. He is best known for his roles as Julius Rock in the UPN/CW sitcom "Everybody Hates Chris" and Terry Jeffords in the Fox/NBC sitcom "Brooklyn Nine-Nine."
Football Career
Crews played football professionally for the San Diego Chargers, Washington Redskins, Philadelphia Eagles, and St. Louis Rams before retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Chargers' Super Bowl XXIX team.
Acting Career
After his football career, Crews transitioned into acting, primarily in comedic roles. He gained recognition in Old Spice commercials, where he portrayed a charismatic and humorous character known as "the Old Spice Guy."
Personal Life
Crews was born in Flint, Michigan, and attended Western Michigan University on an art scholarship. He is married to Rebecca King-Crews and has five children. Crews is also an advocate for mental health awareness and has spoken openly about his own struggles with depression.
