West Ham Boss Curses Transfer Distractions as Defender Tries to Engineer Saudi Move

West Ham Boss Julen Lopetegui Admits the Jack Hendry Saudi Money Mooted as an Obstacle to West Ham United Transfer

West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui has admitted that the club's recent transfer activity has been a distraction, as defender Jack Hendry tries to engineer a move to Saudi Arabia.

The Hammers have brought in eight new signings this summer, but Lopetegui is now looking to offload some players in order to balance the squad.

Hendry is one of the players who could be sold, with West Ham reportedly willing to listen to offers for the Scotland international.

However, Lopetegui has admitted that the club's transfer activity has been a distraction, and that he is keen to get the squad focused on the new season.

  • "It's not ideal to have these distractions at this stage of the season," Lopetegui said.
  • "We need to be focused on the new season, and we need to get the squad settled as quickly as possible."
  • "We're still working on some deals, but we're hopeful that we can get everything sorted out soon."

Hendry has been linked with a move to Al-Hilal, who are reportedly willing to pay a significant fee for the defender.

However, Lopetegui has insisted that Hendry is still a West Ham player, and that he will not be sold unless the club receives an acceptable offer.

"Jack is still a West Ham player," Lopetegui said.

"He's a good player, and we're not going to let him go unless we get a good offer for him."
